Are you ready to take your golf game to the next level? Look no further than the transformative benefits of acupuncture! Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, acupuncture can help enhance your performance, improve flexibility, and support overall well-being.
Acupuncture offers targeted relief for common golf-related issues such as muscle tension, joint pain, and stiffness. By stimulating specific points on the body, it promotes circulation, reduces inflammation, and optimizes energy flow. This translates into increased range of motion, better swing mechanics, and improved focus on the course. But acupuncture's benefits for golfers go beyond physical enhancements. It also provides mental clarity and relaxation, helping you maintain a calm and focused state of mind during your game. By reducing stress and anxiety, acupuncture allows you to perform at your peak, maximizing your potential on each swing. Whether you're aiming to increase stamina for those long rounds, manage golf-related injuries, or recover faster from strenuous training sessions, acupuncture can be a game-changer. It supports the body's natural healing processes and promotes optimal recovery, allowing you to get back on the course faster and stronger. At our clinic, we specialize in acupuncture treatments designed specifically for golfers. Our experienced acupuncturists combine their expertise in traditional Chinese medicine with a deep understanding of the unique physical and mental demands of the game. They will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. Don't miss out on the opportunity to optimize your golf performance and experience the benefits of acupuncture for yourself! Visit our website to learn more about how acupuncture can elevate your game. Discover success on the green like never before! I’m Amy Wan and I’m here to help you reap the numerous benefits of acupuncture - one of the oldest healing practices in the world and one of the quickest ways to restore muscle balance. Used to treat a variety of different conditions, acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of thin, disposable sterile needles at more than 2,000 strategic points on the body along 14 major pathways or meridians.
The Alberta Government just bought 20 million masks (non-medical) that are now available for free at your closest A&W, McDonald's Canada and Tim Hortons drive-thru locations. All these masks are here to help us minimize the spread of COVID - 19 and potentially other viruses coming from yourself. Please note that there's no real evidence showing the masks will protect you from those that are infected - they're meant to protect others. With that in mind, there's research stating that 100% face masks use could crush a second or third wave of COVID-19. Wearing a mask will help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and other airborne viruses. Even if you're asymptomatic, you could be carrying the virus. There's currently a debate on the percentage of asymptomatic infected people - it could be as high as 80%! So let's all err on the side of caution and help protect each other especially our older Canadians - who are at greater risk of severe outcomes.
For more information on how to get your free masks, visit the Alberta government's website: https://www.alberta.ca/masks.aspx Welcome Back!
We are excited to announce that Amy Wan will be accepting acupuncture patients starting June 12. Active Chiropractic will be continuing to meet our commitment to patient safety. Please note booking procedures include pre-screening questions and staggered appointments to ensure physical distance is maintained in our clinic. Acupuncture services will be available soon. We are waiting for a directive from the College & Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta. We want to make sure we can ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Alberta Health Services is starting to loosen up with a 3-Stage relaunch plan. The first stage will allow non-essential health services to reopen provided that "The college of each regulated health profession will be responsible for providing guidelines to its members who operate community health care clinics." With this guideline the College & Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta has given Registered Acupuncturist notice: "... Acupuncture is NOT a part of the non-essential health services which were allowed to resume business (in Alberta). ACUPUNCTURE REMAINS URGENT CARE ONLY. " At this time any Acupuncture done by a Registered Acupuncturist will have to wait. Please contact us if you have any questions.

I just want to say, that we are all in this together. At times we may feel like we are alone, but we are not. The ENTIRE world is going through what we are going through and yes, the unknown is a bit scary. But rest assured, we will get through this and we will be stronger knowing we all have gotten through this together.
Here's a quick message that we had posted on March 26. Click on the image below to view: There is nothing more important to us than your health and safety. To do our part in helping everyone stay safe, and in support of the collective efforts against COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend acupuncture services effective immediately. Please visit this site for any updates. If you need to reach us, please call the clinic at 780-439-4321 or complete the “Inquires or Appointment Requests” and we'll get back to you soon!
